Electric construction machinery has the hit the news a fair bit recently. Mainly in regards to the JCB electric mini digger. The first ever digger to have been made by JCB or indeed any other manufacturer that is fully electric.

Kovaco Electric Skidsteer Loaders
The Kovaco all electric skidsteer loaders are the first of their kind to have come into production in the world and have a 900kg lifting capacity, nearly a tonne!
Suitable for all sorts of industries, you can use the Kovaco either inside or outside of a building. They’re perfect for use in busy urban areas where construction work needs to be completed but office buildings or schools are nearby. The fact the Kovaco is fully electric means it’s lovely and quiet and therefore produces no engine noise.
Kovaco Battery Types
There are two different types of batteries that come as standard. The smaller battery will provide a 900kg lift capacity and will give 5 hours of usage time. Whereas the larger skidsteer loader with the bigger battery will last around 8 hours if not more.
To charge the skidsteer loader will take about 3 hours. What’s great with electric skidsteer loaders is that there is no idle time. The machine is either on working or it’s off saving battery.
Industries using the Kovaco
Being electric, the Kovaco fits into so many requirements for various industries which previously would have never considered a skidsteer loader.
Equestrian operations in particular find the Kovaco particularly useful for moving barrels of hay, as well as muck and all sorts of other materials from one area to another. As the machine is so quiet, is doesn’t frighten the horses.
The Kovaco is narrow and it’s low, as well as carbon neutral, means it fits into so many applications.
What’s unique about the Kovaco is that is can be operated without anyone driving it at all. That’s right, the Kovaco can be operated remotely using a mobile phone. Meaning it provides a whole new element to user safety. Just imagine being in the hull of a ship for example, where it’s hot and dusty. The machine can be in the hull instead and the operator can stand above on the balcony using a mobile phone to operate the machine, all whilst staying comfortable and safe.
